Falta uma semana...

Hi all!
So the falta uma semana means one week of school until easter vacation! 2 weeks of it!
And now we're in the praia (beach) season, so I'm hopefully going to go to the beach a lot. This early spring is great!
It's finally light in the morning, and the classrooms are not freezing cold. yay!
I haven't been updating because I haven't been doing much... but let's see...
last weekend on saturday we went out on my host dad's family's little boat, called the Xalabar, which was really cool. I have lots of pictures of Lisbon seen from the Tejo (or Tagus, I think, in english, which is weird). It was quite cool! And I got a bit sunburnt. Saturday night we went to see Dream Girls, which I actually didn't think was well made (does that sentence make sense? hehe I think I'm having trouble with english).
sunday i went and walked around Lisbon, making up the rest of a field trip I'd missed while in italy. It's cool to actually get to know a city and how to get places (though sometimes in the city I really start missing the country).
last week I had 2 projects and three tests, so I really didn't do anything. Made oatmeal raisin cookies on thursday!
Yesterday i spent the whole afternoon trying to find the American embassy, just to see if they had any info on events or things (some exchanger friends had gone to their embassies and found info on parties and festivals and stuff, but I don't think they have anythign like that for americans). Got there and found out it was closed to visitors that late in the afternoon. so then spent a long time trying to find my way home. I'm getting quite good at getting lost (and then finding my way home again, of course).
Then it was my host grandfather's birthday, so of course that means a big family dinner. I gave him some of the cookies I'd made--he loves cookies.
So not much more to report, except the weather is beautiful. Oh and I'm probably going to Belgium during vacation to visit Vreni! which is exciting. yay!

Here's a message from my host cousin, Carolina (6 years old).
carolina eu tenho 6 anos.

(carolina I'm six).
adeus!
